AI, Adoption, Leadership
AI should augment human decision, not humanity.
Introducing an AI tool is probably the easy part. The real challenge is getting employees to use it consistently and make it part of the way they work.
Shivendra Pratap Singh shares his experience of tackling this challenge at Ergode. Instead of making AI adoption about penalties or forcing employees to use new technology, the approach was to bring AI into existing workflows and goals.
One example he shares is the introduction of AI-linked goals within MGAF (Monthly Goals and Achievements Framework). These goals were not necessarily technical. Instead, employees were encouraged to look at practical ways AI could help them improve productivity and reduce repetitive manual work.
The conversation offers a practical perspective on AI adoption: when employees can see how AI makes their work easier, adoption can move beyond experimentation and become part of everyday behaviour.
AI tool does not automatically mean people will use it. The challenge is turning technology into something employees actually incorporate into their work.
Rather than treating AI as an optional technology, organizations can look for ways to integrate it directly into existing workflows.
Shivendra discusses using AI-linked goals within the MGAF framework. These goals focus on practical applications rather than simply measuring technical AI knowledge.
One of the practical areas discussed is using AI to reduce repetitive manual work and help employees become more productive.
Buying an AI tool is only the beginning. Adoption depends on what happens after the technology is introduced.
AI works better when it solves real work problems. Productivity improvement and reducing repetitive tasks are practical starting points.
Make AI part of the workflow. Integrating AI into existing processes can make adoption more natural.
Goals can encourage adoption. AI-linked goals can give employees a practical reason to explore and use AI.
Build an appreciation-driven culture by making recognition a consistent and effortless part of the employee experience.
Make it easier to recognize employees in the moment and reinforce the behaviours and contributions that matter.
Create stronger connections across distributed teams by ensuring employees feel seen.
